Titanium Coil
The Manufacturing Process Of Titanium Coils
The manufacturing process of titanium coils mainly includes the following core steps, and combines industry-specific technologies with innovative designs:
1. Material Selection
High-purity titanium (such as TA1, TA2, TA10, etc.) is selected to ensure that the material has excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
2. Cutting And Forming
According to the requirements, the titanium material is cut into specific sizes of pipes or plates, and the common specifications include outer diameter φ25~114 mm, wall thickness 1.0~6.0 mm, etc.
Through the rolling process, the titanium is processed into spiral, serpentine, U-shaped and other shapes to meet the heat exchange needs of different containers.
3. Welding And Fixing
Welding is a critical step in ensuring tightness and strength and requires specialized welding techniques such as TIG welding.
The fixing method is divided into detachable and non-detachable, the former is easy to overhaul and clean, and is suitable for less corrosive media.
4. Surface Treatment
Polishing, pickling or sandblasting to improve surface smoothness and enhance corrosion resistance.
Filtration mechanisms may be incorporated into special designs to reduce impurity clogging (e.g. water filtration structure in patented technology).
5. Heat Treatment And Annealing
Annealing is performed during processing to eliminate internal stresses and improve the ductility of the material.
Application Areas Of Titanium Coils
With its lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and high-strength characteristics, titanium coils are widely used in the following fields:
1. Chemical Industry
It is used in reactors, evaporators, heat exchangers and other equipment, especially in strong acid and strong alkali (such as chlor-alkali, urea production) environment.
2. Marine Engineering
It is used in seawater desalination equipment and offshore oil extraction facilities, and has excellent seawater corrosion resistance.
3. Aerospace
Manufacture aircraft engine parts, rocket fuel pipelines, etc., to meet the needs of lightweight, high temperature and high pressure.
4. Medical Field
It is used in medical devices such as artificial joints and dental implants, because titanium is biocompatible.
5. Electric Power And Metallurgy
Used in the power industry for condensers and steam turbine blades; The metallurgical industry is used for electrolysis, electroplating processes.
6. Other Areas
Electronics Industry: High-purity titanium coils are used in semiconductor manufacturing.
