The Production Process Of Titanium Rings
The manufacturing process of titanium rings involves precision machining and material handling technology, and the main processes include:
1. Preparation And Smelting Of Raw Materials
High-purity titanium ingots (≥ 99.95%) are selected to form titanium slats through forging, rolling and heat treatment (880°C-1200°C heat preservation for 0.5-2 hours) to ensure a flatness of ≤0.3mm and a surface roughness of Ra≤1.6μm.
For special alloys (such as high-strength Ti-Al-Mo-V-Cr titanium rings), aluminum, molybdenum, vanadium and other elements need to be added, and vacuum self-consumable electric arc furnace is used for secondary smelting, and the accumulated deformation is >70% to optimize the material properties.
2. Laser Engraving And Roll Forming
The surface of the titanium slats is laser-engraved to form diamond-shaped, hexagonal or circular lines, and the parameters are strictly controlled (pulse width 10-100ns, linear speed 1000-3000mm/s) to improve the sputtering effect and film quality.
The engraved slats are processed into titanium rings with a roundness of ≤1mm by a rounding machine, and impurities are removed by pickling (nitric acid + hydrofluoric acid mixture), and finally cleaned and dried.
3. Surface Strengthening And Testing
Supersonic particle bombardment (SFPB) or anodizing technology is used to improve the surface hardness and corrosion resistance of titanium rings (e.g. TA15 titanium rings up to 478.6 HV).
The finished product needs to be tested by chemical composition analysis and coordinate measuring machine to ensure that the dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties meet the standards.
