The Main Processing Technology Of Titanium Elbows Of Different Specifications


1. Mandrel Method (Thermoforming)
Process Steps: cut the titanium tube to the required length→ push the titanium tube through the hydraulic plunger→ the induction coil is heated→ the titanium tube is expanded and bent by the mandrel mold→ heat treatment→ mechanical processing → quality inspection.
Features: It is suitable for elbows with a wide range of diameters (such as DN40mm to DN300mm), uniform wall thickness, strong pressure resistance, especially suitable for long radius (R=1.5D) and short radius (R=1D) elbow production.


2. Cold/Hot Extrusion Method
Cold Extrusion: The titanium tube is formed directly through the mold, and the surface needs to be lubricated to protect the surface, which is suitable for small and medium-sized elbows (such as DN18-DN200).
Hot Extrusion: extrusion after heating titanium pipes, suitable for thick-walled or complex-shaped elbows, such as nuclear power, chemical high-pressure pipelines.


3. UO Law
Process Steps: titanium plate cutting→ stamping is U-shaped→ secondary stamping is O-shaped→ welded seams are → heat treatment → finishing.
Features: Suitable for medium-sized elbows (such as DN200 or above) and reducers, tees and other welding accessories, and the quality of the weld needs to be strictly tested.


4. Injection Molding/Forging Process (Special Applications)
Sanitary Elbow: using forging and mirror polishing process, the surface is smooth and has no dead ends, which meets the hygiene standards of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Precision Elbows: Dimensional accuracy is guaranteed by annealing and machining, and is used in aerospace hydraulic systems.

Application Scenario: Conveying corrosive media such as strong acid, strong alkali, hydrogen sulfide, etc., such as refinery pipelines and chemical reaction equipment.
